The one thing you must bring: your boots

What CMH provides

• Powder skis. High-performance powder skis are included, matched to the conditions. You don't need to bring or reserve your own.
• Avalanche safety gear. Beacon, shovel, and probe are all provided, and you're trained on them on day one.
• Snowboarders. CMH asks which board you want in advance so it's ready for your trip, so let me know and I'll arrange it.

On the mountain

• Base layers. A couple of moisture-wicking tops and bottoms you can layer.
• Mid-layer. A fleece or light insulated layer for colder days.
• Waterproof shell jacket and pants. Breathable outerwear built for deep snow.
• Gloves or mittens, plus a spare. Bring a non-heated pair to wear while operating your transceiver.
• Goggles and sunglasses. A low-light lens is worth having for flat-light days.
• Neck gaiter or buff, a warm hat, and sunscreen and lip balm for high-altitude sun.

At the lodge

• Casual clothes. Lodge attire is relaxed, so leave the dressy clothes at home.
• Swimwear and flip flops. For the hot tub and spa area.
• Comfortable evening layers. Something cozy for dinners and downtime.
• Pack lighter if you like. There's a washer and dryer at the lodge.

Cameras and heated gear

• GoPro. Use a helmet mount, not the chest mount, which interferes with the avalanche transceiver.
• Heated gear. Heated vests aren't permitted since they interfere with transceivers. Heated gloves are fine, but bring a non-heated pair for wearing while operating your transceiver.

Personal items

• Any medications, plus a small personal first-aid kit if you like.
• Toiletries and any personal comfort items.
• Chargers. Canadian outlets are the same as the US, so no adapter is needed.
